it finally snowed................

Friday was a day of waiting! The weather people talked about the big storm that was on it's way. We always have this happen; news anchor's say we are going to get snow, we get all excited, then NOTHING ever happens. We really don't get a lot of snow in this neck of the woods, but every once in awhile we get a treat! Boy did we get it this time! I went to my craft cell on Friday evening. All the ladies were so excited, talk of the snow that was coming. We sounded like a bunch a silly 8 year olds. We didn't do a craft this meeting, we all brought a snack to share and watched a movie. The movie we watched was, All About Steve, a Sandra Bullock movie. It was really good. But, before the movie Donna a lady in the cell group, had been to the thrift store and found a video tape. The tape had lessons on dances! Some of the ones that were on the tape were, The Hustle, The Macarena, Electric Slide, YMCA, and The Cotton Eyed Joe! It was so much fun! So nice to have a group of ladies to get together with and act goofy every once in awhile. Just good clean pure fun. Thank you God for leading me to this cell group. Now if me and Mike can find one together that would be a prayer answered!
So, early Saturday morning the snow started falling and didn't stop until around 5 P.M.I think. We had about 6-6 1/2 inches. We spent the day inside hanging out with the family. I tried making a snowman, but the snow wasn't packing. I made bundt cake pan cinnamon rolls for breakfast, we had leftover Chicken Terriyaki from Friday night for lunch and I made chili for dinner.
Our animals wanted NOTHING to do with the snow and every time I tried to take the dog out, (a stubborn Pug) he would just stand at the door scratching to get back in.Poor thing I know he had to go so bad. I did get him to go out about 9 P.M., it took him awhile, but he finally went on the truck tire, LOL!
For today, Sunday, I am preparing myself for the week to come. Exercise, Real Estate, Flylady stuff, going over the menu and doing laundry. Church was cancelled today so here I sit. I did a little Bible study this morning while everyone else was still in bed and enjoyed the silence and a cup of coffee. Everyone is up and moving now and all is well.
Oh, and one more thing! Going to step up the physical fitness this week. Going to work hard on the 10 % goal!

they say it's going to snow...........

Today is Friday!!!YAhOOOOO : O ) Weigh In Day---203.1 down 3.1 lbs. since 1-10-2010.
Our Charity Challenge-10% 20.3 in 5 weeks,???? That's how much I need to lose, and my donation amount would be $20.30.
On that note, they say it's going to REALLY snow in our neck of the woods! Note to self: DO NOT STOCK cabinets with JUNK Foods! I am going to the store today to get a few things and it will be a challenge not to get the good junk foods. When you are stuck inside on day's like this you tend to get bored and eat those comfort foods. thankfully we don't have a lot of money for grocery's this week so it's the basics first.
So, today's 15 minute mission was my closet. I was suppose to only go in and go through the shoes. Get rid of those I don't need anymore and organize the others. Well, I did that and then some. I reorganized my clothes, sort by color. Did the shoes and even did my husbands clothes! We have a VERY SMALL closet, so it isn't like it's so big that it would take hours. sometimes when you let it get out of control it just seems to take awhile to get motivated to clean it up.
The rest of the day is going to be pretty busy. Menu planning, didn't get to it on Wednesday. Grocery and the office, a few phone calls and cell group tonight. It's "Girl's Night Out!" Our craft cell group hasn't met since before Christmas, since this is our first we are just hanging out at Sonja's gabbing and watching a movie. Got to think of a snack to take.Looking forward to that and the SNOW! Please let us get some snow.

Peace to all,

one more day................

What is goal 2010? Well, me Rachel and Shannon have decided to (at the begining of the year) daily if needed, post messages to eachother on Facebook. Ckeck in with eachother and see how we are doing and our struggles. Rachel, my very dear friend, lives in Washington state. Her husband Joe is in the Navy and was transferred out there in 2007. BooHoo! Me and Rachel used to be great workout buddies! Now, I have Mallory; my daughter whom is very motivated to go to the gym. What a blessing that is. Anyhow, we have decided to do challenge amongst ourslves. Starting this Friday, January the twenty eighth, we will record our weights and set 10% as our goal. This ends at the March fifth weigh in, whoever makes the 10% goal or closest we will have to donate our 10% to a charity of the winners choice Sounds good. So, thats a 5 week challenge! Talk about putting the petal to the medal or is it medal to the petal? Never could get that straight! They both sound good to me, LOL!

My charity of choice is Lee's Friends. Honestly I need to do some more checking into it and see what they are really all about. I know that they help people to live with cancer. They give people rides to and from chemo treatments dr. appointments etc....Can't believe I have never checked more into that. Or, have I ever volunteered for them. Add that to my to-do list. Funny or really sad how we get so caught up in our lives that we forget about those in need, espcially when it isn't effecting our lives right now. Or maybe it's just me, I don't know. I need to change that! My step-mom, BFF, soul sister, and just no name can explain the relationship we had; passed away in 2003. She had lung cancer. That is one reason why it is so close to me. Will blog more about that in February. Dedication to her. Her birthday was 2/21/1947 and she went to be with the Lord on 2/28/2003. I sure do miss her, :0(

For today, I have a meeting at the Long and Foster located at the Ocean Front. Need to schedule an oil change. Bible study follow up. Think of a snack to take for cell group tomorrow night and smile!

One more day to weigh in, keeping my strength in God. Keeping my mouth closed and keeping myself busy! Amen!

Enjoy the day,.

monday monday.......................

Started back on my flylady plan. YAY! Organization is the key. I have to make adjustments for my life and our family to her plan to make it my plan! hehe! Didn't weigh in on Friday, I woke up to late. I was at the emergency room until 3:30 A.M. and came home and went straight to bed. My Mom hadn't feeling very well for a couple of day's before that and so Thursday evening I insisted that she let me take her to the ER. She is STUBBORN! Good thing we went she had pneomia! YUCK! It took me a couple of day's to recover from that late night. Funny how as you get older that lass of sleep really catches up with ya! I did however exercise and watch what I was eating. Hopefully good results this Friday.

School is out today so I am taking Mallory to the eye dr for a check up and to get contacts. House cleaning is caught up I know whats for dinner and the weather is wonderful. Will do some catching up of whats to come this week later on.

Peace,

friday fortunes..................................

Let me just get this out of the way,,,,,weigh in this morning was 203.8, this is my starting point,,,LOL! I have had several of those, OH WELL! Have to start somewhere to get going RIGHT! I did go to angles and curves last night, that is a good thing. The gym is having a contest and the prize is $500.00. You know I had to enter that.

Yesterday I had a call for daycare, twin girls, they are two and a half. That would be a HUGE pray answered! The lady will be stopping by today, so I am hoping for a yes! I guess I should see how the girls are before I jump to fast, LOL!

Looking forward to the weekend, I am tired! You know how it is when you have been off for a week, then back to life; this week seem to go by so slow. On top of that I have had this terrible cough that has kept me up at night. I am holding an Open House for another agent on Saturday and have a family coming in from PA on Sunday who is going to be transferred here with the military, they are looking for a home to rent.I will meet with them around noon. Other than that, I am looking forward to a quiet night in, watching a movie with Mike. Mallory and her boyfriend and another friend couple are going out to dinner the to Jillian's. Michael usually has plans but hasn't mentioned them yet if he does.

Enjoy the day,

to-do thursday..........................

Couldn't sleep very well last night due to a head cold that I have. I woke up off and on all night long. Around 1:00 A.M. I finally decided to take some medicine and while comparing the active ingredients on the box of Tylenol and bottle of Nyquil, both for congestion coughing and aches and pain;the neighbor's dog behind us was barking on and on and on! I decided on the Tylenol capsules becuase I can't stand liquid medicines,,,,not a word to my two children! I also put a little Vicks Vapo Rub on then grabbed some Kleenex and back to bed I go! Meanwhile, the dog is still barking and then the other neighbor's dog starts in. They both have Rottweiler's by the way. So, I still can't sleep because now I am wondering if something is going on in our backyard. I get up and take a peek out our bedroom window,,,nothing. I decided to come out to the living room to look out the front window, van is still there and looks okay, husband's truck looks okay. On to the kitchen to look out the back door. Flip on the motion light, nothing. Go to the side door, nothing. Back into the kitchen to reset the motion light and then to check doors and make sure they are locked. Not a thing I could see so back to bed I go. Now, I can't stop coughing,,,,ARGGGH! That's how the night went. I'm so wishing I could crawl back in bed right now.
I have several little things to do today but really can't get motivated to do so. Since it is so cold out the daycare children at the time are inside playing with the toy's, Amen! Here soon I am going to go start lunch and that sort of thing, then maybe while they nap I can relax a little.
Mallory and I are going to our Angles and Curves class tonight and I am preparing for the weigh in tomorrow morning. I felt like going to a drive through this morning for a Bagel with bacon and cheese,,,,BUT, I didn't. I came home and fixed two slices of whole wheat toast with cheese on them. I feel like I could really do bad today! Will Power and Prayer is the answer today. I am remembering the jeans and pj's I want to get into,,,,remember remember remember! I will pray for guidance and strength today!
On a good note, I went and met with the Access counsler at the high school yesterday and it seems that perhaps Mallory will be able to get into college with no cost. We will no more within a week or so,,,,that's a blessing. Keeping that in prayer. Also, we might get some snow here, that is exciting! We don't get to to excited about it because it hardly ever happens here. So, prayer for a little snow.
I did sign up on a social website called www.Phitter.com, check it out if you have a chance, kind of fun!
I must get on with my day. I hope to report in the morning with some GOOD news after my weigh in. The time will be 6:00 A.M. so, unless anythng wonderful happens talk to ya then!

back on the wagon of weight loss,,,blah blah blah.....

Today is Tuesday January the 5th, Two Thousand and Ten! Shall we say Twenty Ten or Two Thousand Ten?

Monday went pretty well,,,busy day full of errands and getting back into routine. I felt pretty good though actually accomplishing everything on the "list"! Weight wise, I tracked points drank plenty of water and stayed aware of things that I put into my mouth!

Mallory and I went to our class tonight at the gym and I can already tell that I am going to be so SORE tomorrow. But, while I was working out and sweating,,,I just felt so good about myself and that was just one workout. I remember those feelings from back when, and it was just a wonderful feeling just taking care of my body. Doing something good for me. I feel so blessed to have such an awesome daughter. Mallory is such a wonderful motivator when it comes to going to the gym. She is always ready to go and keeping me on my toes,,,thank you Mallory and I Love YOU!

We are in the process of trying to get a modification loan for our 1st mortgage and I faxed 38 pages off today. Such crazy paperwork! I am praying that we hear something soon. We have had such financial struggles since October of 2008 as I have mentioned in previous post. I have faith that God is going to see us through this, and I just know that we are going to harvest all these seeds that we have been planting, and I pray that all those people in America that have had the same struggles due to the economy see some financial breakthroughs this year.

I have taken a picture of some jeans and some PJ's that I want to get into and back into the PJ's,,,,I love pajamas by the way, and I think the world would be a happier place if we could all wear pajamas to work! So that is my goal! That goes along with the long term goal of getting back to 173. Thursday I am suppose to go to Mt. Trashmore to walk with the Victorious Women group from church,,,,,,let's see if I make it!

laundry laundry.......................

Not much going on today. I have been working on laundry, getting ready to get back to routine. Back to school for the kids, back to daycare for me and the husband goes back to work. Sometimes routine is good. Don't get me wrong, I needed a week off and sometime to think and get myself together for the New Year. But, having something to do each day feels comforting at times,,,,,,and I mean at times! LOL! I will be ready for summer very soon I'm sure. Although come to think of it maybe not! Mallory graduates in June, so maybe I won't be ready! Can't believe it. So for today we have just been lazy.

Was listening to the radio tonight on the way to pick Michael up from the mall. The D.J. mentioned they would be starting "Make a Difference Monday" it got me thinking what I could do to make a difference,,,,and maybe something for my Monday's. Have to put some thought into this.

welcome 2010............

It's the first day of 2010! Happy New Year. We had a wonderful New Year's Eve, Mike and I went to the service at church and it was awesome. Pastor Steve can really bring it. http://www.wavechurch.com/ click on live if you ever want to see what I'm talking about,,,,,I really love our church. After the service was over we came home and changed and joined our friends the Stedamns to see the New Year in and for a few games of bowling on the Wii! I think I want one!

Cheryl had a few New Year's tradition's in mind to make sure we were covered to have a wonderful year. We all ate 12 grapes at the 10 second count down mark, and we stuck a dollar in our bra's,,,I guess this will see that we have money through out the year as long as we don't spend that dollar. Interesting. I'll have to look those up and I am just curious to see what other's do to celebrate.

2009 went out peacefully and fun, also filled with love! Amen to that!

Today, 1-1-2010, I am still thinking about the past decade. I can't even believe how fast that went by. In 2000 we visited Disney World with my sister and her family and my Dad and Step Mom. The kids were so young and have some really good memories of that trip. Here are today and Mallory is going to be 18 in 19 days,,,she is counting them down! Michael will be 16 in April and is trying to be such the man; he is really turning into one. I'm so proud of both of them.

I can't wait to see what the year 2010 holds for us.

On the Menu for today is : Ham, Twice Baked Potatoes, Creamed Spinach and Herb and Cheese Crescent Rolls. No Black Eyed Peas for us, it never seems to work,,LOL! The house is clean, I will be catching up the laundry for the start of every one's work week and back to school.

So, peace to all and a wonderful 2010 to you,
